Redecorating for Free

Redecorating for free is indeed possible.
Here are some great tips that we actually recently used:

1. Move your furniture around. Before you do this, we suggest just drawing a quick rectangle on paper and labelling where things would go first. Then be sure to measure before you or someone else moves the furniture.

2. Take all the picture frames down, as well as the knick knacks. Then switch them from place to place or even room to room.

3. Throw out dead or “almost dead” plants (you would be surprised how much nicer things look once you've done this).

4. Change tablecloths, bedspreads, sofa covers, towels etc. Most of us have some in closets that we have totally forgotten about.

5. Give your rooms a good “cleaning”. Freshen things up after with potpourri, scented candles etc.

6. Switch items with friends and family. Maybe you can barter for something you've been wanting to buy that they just can't stand anymore.

7. Use bed sheets creatively. Many stored bed sheets are just perfect for new sewing projects. If you don't sew, just drape them on, tuck with clips and elastics for a quick pick me up.
We hope you've got some great ideas. We’d love to see pictures of the before and after. hat has happened to movie theatre ticket prices?

It seems every time you turn around the price goes up. Taking your whole family out to a movie might well cause you to dip into the kids college savings these days! The alternative, sitting around the house and watching a DVD or video may sound a bit unexciting at first but consider these easy tips on making staying home and watching a movie at home an adventure.

Choose a theme that goes with the movie you are watching

Make special snacks or popcorn (my kids love helping to make the snacks)
