How to Organize Your Bathroom for Guests

During the holidays we often wonder what to do to make our bathrooms especially beautiful. Here are 10 quick and easy tips that won't break your budget but will make a great http://www.familytimezone.com/subscribe:

1- Give your bathroom a complete and thorough cleaning, putting away things like laundry baskets, toys, extra shampoo bottles etc. Streamline the items that are lying around to the bare minimum. Less really is more. Even a simple bathroom will look better if clean and uncluttered!

2- If you have special guest towels, mats etc. take them out only a half hour or so before your guest arrive, that way they will look nice.

3. Make sure that if you have a waste paper basket in the bathroom, you line it with a neat white plastic bag such as those used in the kitchen. It should be empty and clean. For a little fun sprinkle a bit of Potpourri on the bottom of the basket.

4. Put out new still wrapped soaps or still in their boxes on the soap dish. This looks very pretty and speaks special care for your guests.

5. If you have access to flowers from your garden such as tulips etc. collect some and put them in a vase and place them either on the counter or near the bathtub. If you don't have fresh flowers look around another room for a dried bouquet you could borrow for the holidays. Or you can even pick up an inexpensive bouquet at the supermarket.

6. If you are in the habit of having reading material in your bathroom, then give it a clean up as well, leaving only a new clean magazine.

7. Dab a drop or two of essential oil on your light bulbs and this will defuse a wonderful aroma.

8. Keep at least one extra toilet paper roll in sight in a pretty basket or other container. That way if your guest should need a new roll they won't have to suffer the embarrassement of hunting in your cupboards for a new roll.

9. If you are having sleep over guests what is really special is to have a little basket made up just for them with fresh towels rolled up, new tube of toothpaste, new toothbrush etc. and a little note welcoming them to use it.

10. The nicest thing to do if you have guests is to keep things simple, clean and uncluttered. Your bathroom doesn't have to have gold trimmings to be welcoming.
